IBM and Cognitive Class Certification #3: R Programming

It is my first time to learn R programming. Quite interesting and easy to understand as long as you already learned other programming languages. Good knowledge, I am sure very much that it will be beneficial for my future. Especially, while this language has been very popular for machine learning application in Please check my certification and badge in Python programming here,  Certificate

Memilih Journal Internasional, Journal Selection#1

Bring Your Family while You Study Abroad, Student Life #1

If you want to bring your family abroad and bring them to your student life, don't forget to prepare anything required. Beware your monthly allowance management. In my case, I need to prepare about 2700 MYR for 3 dependant pass. It is quite expensive just for applying visa in Malaysia. Welcome to student life my family!

Turbocharger Turbine Modelling using A Bond Graph Approach: The first Journal Paper #1

The first journal paper of my academic life, this is the starting point. The first paper published by Energy (Q1, IF 4.9) indexed by ISI and Scopus.  This paper proposed about a modelling method for a specific case of Turbine control in a variable geometry tubocharger (VGT) inspired by Bond Graph approach.

IBM and Cognitive Class Certification #2: Python Programming for Data Scientist

It is my first time to learn Python programming. Quite interesting and easy to understand as long as you already learned other programming languages. For my self, I already learned and experience about the Matlab programming and also know other languages, such as C++. Good knowledge, I am sure very much that it will be beneficial for my future especially while  I have an interest in deep learning. Please check my certification and badge in Python programming here, Certificate Badge

IBM and Cognitive Class Certification #1: Machine Learning and Phyton

Frankly Speaking, I had only learned other machine learning methods (Except classification) after publishing five papers about machine learning applications in Regression case. Good knowledge, I am sure very much that it will be beneficial for my future. It is free and the badge is issued by IBM. Metrics to Measure A Model Performance #1

10 September 2018 While I try to take the cognitive class, I found an interesting note about the metrics to evaluate a performance of a model, which are A. Mean absolute error: the easiest way and the most straight forward way to describe an error B. Mean absolute error: try to gear up the error therefore can add more the sensitivity C. RMSE: the most preferable metrics because have the same dimension as the samples; hence the error can directly relate to the samples. D. RSE: not so common use it directly. But more common to use it to Measure the accuracy of R. In my research, I usually use R, RMSE and Normalized RMSE, a representation of RMSE in percentage while comparing with the full range of the target of the training data. Hopefully can improve our knowledge. Regards,

Lesson Learned of The Submission Process #1

Alhamdulillah. I already submit a paper in a Journal (Q1 in Scopus). It is the seventh submission of the paper after six times rejection. I have learned much this time. Some of the lesson learnes are belows: a.        Authorship Order and Changes i.       Elsevier Journals (e.g., Energy and Sensors & Actuators Physica A) have a relatively flexible policy ii.       AIP (e.g., Journal of Rheology and JAP) has a strict policy, but there is a leeway by requiring the approval from all authors if there is any change in the order and/or additional/removal of author/s name. iii.       Springer (from my friend case, I forgot the journal name) has a stricter policy, not possible to add more authors while submitting the revised version.  (Disclaimer: Only for the known journals, other journals in the publisher may have a more lenient policy) b.        The review time i.        Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, and  Sensors & Actuators Physica A : Medium, about 2
