Alhamdulillah. I already submit a paper in a Journal (Q1 in Scopus). It is the seventh submission of the paper after six times rejection. I have learned much this time. Some of the lesson learnes are belows:
a. Authorship Order and Changes
i. Elsevier Journals (e.g., Energy and Sensors & Actuators Physica A) have a relatively flexible policy
ii. AIP (e.g., Journal of Rheology and JAP) has a strict policy, but there is a leeway by requiring the approval from all authors if there is any change in the order and/or additional/removal of author/s name.
iii. Springer (from my friend case, I forgot the journal name) has a stricter policy, not possible to add more authors while submitting the revised version.
(Disclaimer: Only for the known journals, other journals in the publisher may have a more lenient policy)
b. The review time
i. Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, and Sensors & Actuators Physica A: Medium, about 2 months.
ii. Proceeding C: I Mech E (SAGE): the status ‘with the editor’ take more time than expected (almost one month). Hopefully, it is only for my case.
If you have any question, let's sharing, and ask me here.
